Following these tips and guidelines will insure your Preschool Palettes book
meets your expectations.

1. Please provide 50 (or 90) or fewer pieces of artwork per book. Please do
not send more and ask us to select the
appropriate amount for you. Only
you and your child know which pieces are of special significance.

2. Cover art should be horizontal.  Please note which piece should be used
for the cover.

3. Artwork with brilliant paint, marker or paper colors appears best in a
Preschool Palettes book. Heavy use of crayons or oil pastels may result in
some blurring of the image. We advise against pencil line drawings.

4. We are happy to capture an image of the front and back of a piece
, or the
cover and inside of a card, but please remember that those pieces will count
as 2 pieces of artwork toward your 50 (or 90).

5
. Please keep in mind that artwork created with your child's handprints may
not appear to scale in their book. It is recommended that you still include
those pieces but hold onto the originals and have them laminated if you
wish to maintain an accurate impression/print of your child's hand from a
certain timeframe.

6.  We are happy to include a SINGLE photo of your child or his/her class.
Please remember that they count toward your 50 (or 90) pieces of artwork
per book.

7. When submitting photos via email, please simply attach the jpeg images to
your email.  Please do not use a photo sharing web site; we cannot
download the pictures.

The following forms of artwork are NOT accepted for inclusion in your book:
1. Breakable pieces of art such as ceramic and clay.

2. "3-D" artwork (artwork with embellishments, texture or "accessories" is
accepted
).

3. Glitter. We know that preschools love glitter but unfortunately our
digitizing equipment does not.

4. Laminated artwork. Lamination makes it difficult to capture a sharp digital
image of the piece; it may often appear cloudy.

5
. Confidential documents such as progress reports or report cards are not
accepted. These are items that should remain between your family and your
child's school.

6. Academic worksheets; please send only artwork.

7. Artwork larger than 18"x24" in size.
